In the case of the Philippines, how much do you think are we involved in the Modern World-System? What do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of being part of such. Use the space for your answer. In the case of the Philippines it really depends in our economy to be involved in the modern world. we can say that our country is involved in a modern world system if our country is powerful, has a higher educational levels and sophisticated technology. The Advantage of being part in the modern world is that our country will easily get recover from the disaster or extremity. The disadvantage of being part in the modern world is that our environment will be affected.


How can we “upgrade” our economy given the strength of the global economy, especially the giant economies like the United States and Japan? Use the space for your answer. It depends on the economy that we have in our country, government has the Authority to decide whether choose to upgrade the economy or not. It will take a lot of risk , hazard and loss because of investments into other country for upgrading our economy
