1.To be loyal to the Republic.
People standing together and remaining devoted to their nation demonstrates patriotism toward your country, even if you may not appreciate everything about it, especially the leadership. If they work hard enough, they may remove corrupt leaders from office.
2.To defend the State.
bolster and protect the Constitution. Keep up with the problems that influence your neighborhood. Take part in democratic processes. Observe and abide by all local, state, and federal laws.
3.To contribute to the development of welfare of the State.
A welfare state is a form of government in which the state or a well-established network of social institutions protects and promotes the economic and social well-being of its citizens, based upon the principles of equal opportunity, equitable distribution of wealth, and public responsibility for citizens unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life.
4.To uphold the Constitution and obey laws.
Respecting the law safeguards the public's safety, health, and peace. The Religion Clauses of the First Amendment were created to defend such a legal framework. By providing them with a single, common legal system, they hoped to maintain peace among a heterogeneous populace.
5.To cooperate with duly constituted authorities.
The individual's rights entail a corresponding obligation for him to exercise his rights responsibly and with due consideration for the rights of others.
6.To exercise rights responsibility and with due regard for the rights of others.
The rights of the individual impose upon him the correlative duty to exercise them responsibly and with due regard for the rights of others.
7.To engage in gainful work.
Gainful Work means engagement in any employment, occupation, vocation, profession, trade or business for remuneration or other reward in money or money's worth.
8.To register and vote.
Voting can legitimately be restricted, however, on the basis of citizenship, mental capacity, or a criminal record
